Why you should join LinkedIn

First time when my friend introduce LinkedIn to me I was like what’s wrong with you I have more than two social networking sites on my back by that time I was having an account in Facebook and twitter and still some of my Asian friends were encouraging me to join Orkut by the way at the same time there was Wabunifu.com which was created by one of my college colleague in Bangalore as part of his college projects. Having around me all these social networking sites it was impossible for me to add one more social networking site.

During my research on social networking sites I came to realize the main difference between LinkedIn and other networking sites is the term” Professional” social networking site. In LinkedIn is more than just being connected to the friends and people you now.

In LinkedIn you got an opportunity to meet professionals in your Industry and connect with them and provide you with more opportunity and chances to develop your career. The system used by LinkedIn to introduce you to these people and interact with them is more efficient and secured compared to other networking sites.

In LinkedIn you got the opportunity to sell yourself to other professionals and employers and to express your skills and potentials through different tools available such presentation tools and PDF converters and so on.

In LinkedIn you have a chance to learn new things and face challenges that are facing other people in your Industry so that you can be prepared to overcome them. Also it helps you to be encouraged about the success stories of other people and make you to be a professional at international standards.

Some tools in LinkedIn such as slide share and others help you to appear first in search engines such as Google increasing the chance to be found and consulted about some related issues in your field.
