The Beta
Version of Mara.com has been
launched in Uganda. Mara.com is the first Africa’s online mentorship program
owned by the East African billionaire based in Uganda Mr. Ashish Thakkar. The Beta version of the programme was launched by Mr.
Ashish himself.
The
programme aims at providing mentorship and guidance to young energetic entrepreneurs
in Africa. It will help to connect young minds, mentoring African entrepreneur
to reputed and successful enterprises and business across Africa.
Hint: Thakkar, 29 is a co-founder and CEO of Mara Group – a Ugandan
conglomerate with tentacles in financial services, hotels, renewable energy,
technology and manufacturing. Annual revenues are approximately $100 million
and the group has an active presence in 16 countries on four continents.
According to
the founder the Mara project will be
the transformational project and will
nature an ecosystem for African entrepreneurs and youth while improving skills
and emerging talents.
The mentor’s
network would offer insight and expertise into a wide spectrum of industries,
access to networks, funding, and infrastructure and will facilitate the
exchange of knowledge and experience in order to grow ideas into sustainable business.
