Assah Mwambene (41) is the new Director of Tanzania
Information Services. The ministry of Information, Youth and culture said in
the statement issued yesterday that Mr. Mwambene appointment is effective from
July 1st this year.
The post was left by Mr. Clement Mshana who was last year
appointed as Director General of Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC).
Before appointment Mr. Mwambene was the acting head of communication in the
ministry of Foreign affairs and International cooperation.
Prior to joining the Foreign affairs ministry was a
journalist with Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) Limited. Publishers of the
newspapers, ‘Daily News’, ’Sunday News’, ‘Habari Leo’ and ‘Habari Leo
Jumapili’.
