region and drive growth in key sectors of the economy using information
communication technologies a regional conference, Cyber Africa Forum is billed to
hold in April this year in Accra, the Ghanaian capital. Designed to accelerate
the impact of the digital society on Africa’s social, economic and political
development, Cyber Africa Forum 2013 will feature top discussions on how ICT is
enabling Africa to access the infinite opportunities that abound in the digital
age.
A release by the Cyber Africa News, organisers of
the event stated that the event will parade the best of Africa's young and
inspiring innovators, business leaders, policy makers and the implementers.
According to the statement, the Forum which metamorphosed from Cyber Nigeria
Forum is an answer to the yearning of ICT professionals and top executives to
take the conference beyond Nigeria for greater impacts.
“It is also a platform for major stakeholders, investors and
policy makers to connect, network and showcase innovations, products, services
and initiatives that are driving the continent’s digital inclusion as it will
feature conference and exhibitions.” According to the statement, the conference
will feature top professionals in the ICT ecosystem drawn from Africa, Europe
and Asia who will examine the impacts of ICT on Africa, Investments in ICT
across the continent, emerging information and cyber security challenges,
regulatory and legal framework, electronic transactions and physical security

and Security’, Cyber Africa Forum
2013 discussions will take place in 3 closed working groups,
comprising banks, telecommunication service providers, software and hardware
companies, VAS companies, mobile payment service providers, infrastructure
companies, relevant industry regulators, policy makers and government
officials. Speakers and Participants will include Chief information officers,
State Commissioners for ICT, chief executives of government agencies, Chief
