Recap on the Samsung event at KINU………

Friday at KINU co creation hub at Kijitonyama it was a great day to the users of the hub when Samsung decided to donate applications testing center to the hub as part of their social responsibility. The testing center will be used by the hub users to test their applications and facilitate their projects involving mobile development.

Since Samsung devices are highly based on the Android operating system. This will be a great chance for Android developers to utilize effectively the opportunity provided by the hub and the mobile phone giants. Speaking at the event something Tanzania top official said that, he was delighted to be at the hub and he was amazed the way things are going inside the hub since for him it was the first time to be inside the Tanzania co creation hub. He said that Samsung will be happy to facilitate innovative projects from Tanzania and to work with local developers and institutions aiming at improving the ICT sector of Tanzania.

The co-founders of the KINU co creation hub, Emmanuel Ferruzi, Taha jiwaji, Jp and Catherinerose Barretto were among the main facilitators of the event and to ensure everything was going smoothly. It was also the time to introduce the new TanzICT innovation space managers Jumanne Rajabu and Brian Mnyapi to the Dar es Salaam ICT stakeholders who have gathered for the event at the hub. Most of the first time users of the hub were impressed about the activities that are conducted at the hub and for the active old users it was a great step and achievement to the KINU co creation hub.

The challenge that remains is on how hundreds of Androids developers in Dar es Salaam would be able to use the testing center efficiently and give the required output expected by the co-founders of the KINU co creation hub and other tech stake holders in Dar es Salaam. Big up Samsung for the support you have shown to the Tanzania tech community we expect more from the Mobile giants in the near future.
