ICT changes challenges the University of Zambia


Dr.  Jacob Mwanza  the Chancellor of University of Zambia (UNZA) observed that information communication technology (ICT) had eliminated the barriers of space and time and new competitive forces, such as virtual universities and that profit education providers had entered the education market, thereby creating new challenges and opportunities to the University. 
The increase in the number of universities in the country has possess a great challenge to the National University which now has to put more effort to cope with the fast change in the learning industry.
Dr. Mwanza said the way forward for Unza is to have a new education products and services, innovative delivery systems, new linkages with the corporate world and communities with networks to the global knowledge and learning industry if they want to cope with the situation immediately.
