Kinu launching, the best tech event in Dar………..

Mr. Makamba Speking on the Event
Yesterday at Kinu launching event was the greatest moment for me as a tech guy in Tanzania, the event was like, WOW. Every big fish in the Tanzania tech industry was there from the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology his Excellency January Makamba to the college lecturers, tech enthusiasts, media, bloggers and MD’s of big tech companies in Dar. It was a great opportunity for young entrepreneur in tech to have access to these guys and share their ideas with them. Personally I collected over eight business cards from sensitive people in the Tanzanian tech community.
I arrived there bit late as usual Dar es Salaam traffic, by the time I arrive JP Barretto the co-founder of Kinu co creation hub was pitching about Kinu to the audience. He was pitching about the necessity of having things like Kinu, the concept of hubs, their vision and mission and why people should support these kinds of project. The presentation was neat and cool for just like 3 minutes you were able to understand everything about Kinu. I just hope he has shared the slide online I will post the link in the future.
The Audience listening attentively
The event organizers just did it, big up to the Kinu Team. Everyone was happy people felt like they have been connected in some way since all of them share the same passion, which is to see the Tanzania tech community advance to the next level. So many companies send in their representatives i got the chance to speak with people from Smile, Push Mobile, Clouds TV, TechnoBrain and even the Tanzanian legendary blogger Issa Michuzi he actually told me that his blog currently have 6 million hit per day. Big up Michuzi we all respect your work.
Mr. Issa Michuzi
The time for the Deputy Minister and probably the guest of Honor arrived. It was just like that, he was not prepared to speak but the speech was very cool he hit directly to the point where the audience want to listen. He talks about how innovation and co creation can help to boost the tech industry in the country and enhance the development of the country in general. He spoke about the TED speaker who explained on how improper system of education can cripple person ability to become creative and innovative. I got a chance to speak with him personally and we shared the same vision about how the secondary schools and college labs can be converted into hubs and incubation centers to cultivate into students innovative ideas. He said, this was among his vision he hope one day it will work with proper incentives and executable plans from the central government.
The Kinu Team
Before I forgot I met Bary the Developer from California who is interested to meet with Tanzanian developer to start some open source programmmes please contact me if you are interested to meet Bary. He is just a cool and simple guy. Before I forgot I got the chance to meet the guy who wants to teach robotics in Tanzania. Seriously for the first time in my life I heard someone teaching robotics down here. I got the chance to talk to Mr. Peter Baziwe Kisa. I asked him some few questions on how is he going to teach among the most complicated field of tech to the Tanzanian youth. He told me forgot about the python and complicate robotic models he is going to start with the basic that why he said he will prefer young kids from the age of seven to be his first students since the reason he started the project it’s because he is doing good with his own son on teaching him robotics. He told me the concept is simple, he just create the team of those kids while others are doing programming, some of them will do structuring, other will play with electric chips at the end they will combine the ideas and he will selected the most active one to accomplish the complete task with them. It was just marvelous. The programme is going to start on October please contact Kinu Hub to register your kid for the programme otherwise you can email us greentech360@gmail.com we will help you to connect with the guy.

I will be in trouble if I don’t recognize the presence of other founders of Kinu Hub, Luca Neghesti, Catherinerose Barretto, Emmanuel Feruzi, Johannes. Seriously a lot of tech guys were there Dr. Jim Yonazi, Managing Director of Push Mobile Freddie Manento with his comrade from Push Mobile Mr. Gonzaga Rugambwa who just appear to be the organizer of techno-Sunday and so many other tech guys including my right hand man Mr.Tony Severine and the team behind the upcoming college event in Tanzania Oleshumpai Salim and Thompson Maguru. Oh my God I was about to forgot Jukka Silatanen from TanzICT our mentor was there also, sorry Jukka and so many other cool guys.
