MTN Funds ICT centre in Ghana…


MTN is constructing an ICT centre at the school for the blind at Akropong Akuapem, which would be furnished with 20 customized computer sets for the blind at a cost of 100,000 Ghanaian Cedi (GHC).  Mrs. Cynthia Lumor, the Cooperate Services Executive of MTN Ghana releases the information to the media briefing with a cross section of journalists in the Eastern Region in Koforidua in the weekend.
Also she said there is a plan to help the journalists by upgrading the journalists through super highway Programme that would give scholarship bursaries to journalists for international trainings and workshops. She said the Journalists have to take the advantage of the technology being provided by MTN network and advance their careers as journalists. She said although MTN is a profit making organization but they believe in saving the community through MTN foundation.
