Ghana’s Expresso offering rollover data

In a move that is being seen as positive for the local data market in Ghana, the country’s telecom operator Expresso announced it was to offer rollover data for users who top-up.
The company said that the CLIQ Bundle Roll Over offer is to give refunds to customers who did not use all their paid for data capacity the previous month on its CLIQ modem if that customer tops up for the coming month.
The idea is that by allowing customers to get money back from unused data will help boost returning customers for Internet services in the country, which comes as the government and the telecom industry hopes to increase rural Internet penetration.
“The offer comes with the ‘Bundle on Bundle’ package, under which customers can add extra bundles on their existing bundle ahead of the expiry date,” the company said in a statement.
“The CLIQ modem comes with a choice of five packages, including a daily plan and for monthly offers.”
Already, Ghana residents are praising the move, saying it will enable them to maintain their financial responsibilities without being forced to cut back on Internet services in their daily lives.
