Sudan-Azerbaijan ICT forum to be held next year

APA-Economics. Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies met with Eissa Bashari Mohamed Hamid, Minister of Science and Communications, Secretary of the National Congress Party on Asian affairs, press service of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies told APA-Economics. Informing about the work done in ICT sphere in Azerbaijan, including the reforms carried out in the sphere of information technologies, regional and local projects and future prospects, Abbasov underlined that this sphere is developing year by year in the country.

 Sudanese minister spoke about the work done in this sphere, scientific studies, and use of ICT in various spheres, future plans and projects. He underlined the importance of Azerbaijan’s assisting in the development of ICT in Sudan, attracting Azerbaijani companies in the process of privatization in this sphere, studying Azerbaijan’s experience in the sphere of e-government. Sudanese Minister officially invited Ali Abbasov and heads of Azerbaijani ICT companies to Sudan in the first half of next year.

Ali Abbasov said investments to be made by Azerbaijani companies, investors in information and communication technologies, scientific studies in Sudan will be of great importance.
 The sides decided to hold the first Sudan-Azerbaijan ICT Forum in Sudan in the first half of next year, study the opportunities of the countries in ICT market, hold meeting of the relevant companies and experts on scientific studies.
