Vodacom
Tanzania as benefited 1, 500 orphans in Tanga, Mtwara and Kigoma through their
initiative to support orphanage by providing funds and support. The campaign
which is called Care and Share that was launched in 2007 is among the longest
orphanage campaigns in Tanzania. Vodacom have been donating food stuffs,
learning materials and clothing. The head of the foundation Mr. Yessaya
Mwakifulefule speaking proudly about the achievement of this year campaign he
said “ we have distributed food stuffs, learning material, clothing and other
goodies to orphanage Muslims this year. Muslims forms a big chunk of Vodacom and this
very important time for them. Through this initiative, we have managed to
interact, celebrate and share ideas. For the past five years, we have been
doing so in order to celebrate them as part of the family,” said Mwakifulefule.
