Samsung establish themselves in Africa....

LUSAKA, Samsung Electronics, the South Korean firm making optics and digital imaging products, is planning not only to enter the African market, but to create an entrepreneurial attitude and build infrastructure around, the Post of Zambia reported on Wednesday.
The company's chief operations officer George Ferreira made the disclosure ahead of the company's Zambia Week, where its employees will spend their time in doing voluntary community work. He said the company was committed to continue expanding its presence on the continent.
"Samsung is also determined to participate in the many communities in which it operates because we understand that being successful in Africa requires an entrepreneurial attitude and commitment to help create the market and infrastructure around it, not just enter it," he was quoted as saying.
The company, he said, will build products and programs for Africa's unique needs, resources and conditions.
Beginning this week, Samsung will be hosting a number of employee volunteer programs in Zambia that would be rolled out across Africa where employees will assist in providing much needed Information and Communication Technology (ICTs) resources and restoration of community centers.
The company will also be supporting the consumer community by offering free services and repairs of Samsung products and raising awareness of dangers of counterfeit products. (Xinhua)
