The programme covers many areas necessary to become a successful entrepreneur including – assessing whether you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur; learning how to define your market and position your products and services, how to manage your money, what it will take to make sales and grow your company, and how to pitch your business to investors and potential customers.
Learning will be through a series of interactive workshops, peer discussion groups, and some coaching support.You will become part of a peer network of women entrepreneurs facing similar challenges and opportunities, giving you an opportunity to share your experiences and learn from your colleagues.
Entry criteria
- You are a woman business owner with demonstrated entrepreneurial aptitude and/or skills
- You are currently running a business, preferably technology-enabled,
and wish to grow the business substantially, or want to introduce an
innovative technology product or service (at least at the concept stage)
into an existing business
OR
You have started the process of registering a technology-enabled business (with at least a vision, concept strategy, and business model) - You reside within travelling distance of Dar es Salaam
- You are a Tanzanian citizen
- You are prepared to attend ALL training sessions (9 days) and required mentoring between November 2012 and February 2013.

- A short description of your business / new product or service
- Proposed market(s)
- Proposed revenue streams
- Challenges in commercialising your product/service
- CV (maximum four pages) showing evidence of previous and current entrepreneurial endeavours
- Motivation showing how you hope to benefit from the programme, and why you should be chosen
- Application form with your personal details (download form in docx, doc or rtf format).
