"Add" link to add that friend. The tracking will not begin until that
person accepts your request.

When you compare the number of mobile internet users and PC internet users in a country like Tanzania you are so likely to realize going mobile is inevitable for a country like this and other African countries.
The average phone users in Africa is hundreds times of PC users. The information supplied in a mobile phone device can reach hundreds recipient as the same information reach a single PC user.IT giants such as Google and others have tried their level best to introduce the idea to the African IT firms although the technic is appearing to be reluctant but it has played a big role in making a large group of society to attain information on time. The aim is to provide people with the knowledge and details of different projects such as health project and agriculture project through the use of technology. Some applications have been developed which allow farmers to get information and details about matters affecting they are farming activities. (Uganda refugees mobile project)
Going mobile is essential especially for multimedia and news companies people needs to get information wherever they are in the required time. Creating a mobile version of your website or Blog is essential since people they can easily be able to access your website information through their handheld devices. We expect newspaper companies to go mobile so that people they can read their favorites newspaper online through their hand held devices. (look at this project by times of India newspaper)
Advertisement done in mobile phones can reach more number of people than any kind of advertisement. Being able to have a mobile website which can easily be accessed with large number of people it means you will have successful business.
The interactivity the user has with the mobile is far different with the interactivity with is desktop, laptop or palmtop computers. An average African would rather buy an expensive phone and use it to access internet instead of buying a simple costless PC for two reasons first is portability and second is the lack of knowledge to use and access Internet PC.
An average phone user will automatically know two things picking up a phone call and dealing with an SMS either is to read or sending the SMS. The information can be sent inform of SMS alerting people about matters affecting their day to day activities wither its AIDS awareness campaign or human right activities all these can be done using mobile phones and handheld devices. For creating mobile applications and website you can contact us at greentech360@gmail.com
Awareness of the people about using Swahili in Technology:Most of the people are not aware that the services that they are getting online they can get them in their local language, Swahili. Some of them they are not even aware of the Google domain extension of .tz which will led you to use the Swahili version of Google products. Some people have to translate their queries in English before searching them in Google believing they can not get the results they want if they search in Swahili which is totally wrong.
Most of the techies they don't understand the terms used in Google Swahili version:
Upon our discussion during the session most of the people were laughing or exclaimed of some terms which are used with the chrome browser reflecting that they have never used the terms in their life before. Most of them insisting on simplifying the language and start tom use the language which is used in their daily activities and usual interaction with each other.
Swahili terms tend to have more than one meaning which complicates the process:
Most of the time during translation the meaning of the terms tend to differ with the actual meaning of the terms simply because the translate tend to give the other meaning of the term rather than the expected meaning. The advice given by the attendees of the session was Google must come up with more intelligent translator which will anticipate the usage of the terms for collect situations and purpose.
Its essential to have more meetings and gatherings to discuss the use of Swahili in technology
to be continue...............
The Google Swahili event is on, at the Kinu innovation Hub. The event is marvelous everyone is active and people are contributing to the topics which are being discussed. We have just finished discussing the Google Search Products . We were discussing the home page of the Google search engine and came up with new terms to be used for example instead of using "i'm feeling lucky" as "leo ni siku yangu" we suggested "nahisi nina bahati" to be the new terminology to be used by the users of Google Search Swahili version. Most of the people have been suggesting more user friendly language to be used since most of the Swahili terms which are used they are too official for most of the users to understand. We are with a googlers from Kenya Salome she is hosting the event nicely, everyone is happy and now we are moving to the short break for lunch.

It is a normal thing when you want to loge in to your accounts in some browsers you will be asked if you want the browser or the website to remember your password this is the time you stop selecting yes for your own good. The little utility Asterisk Logger does for the whole of Windows what MessenPass does for messengerprograms. It displays the passwords that you’ve entered in Outlook, in your FTTP client or in any other login-protected tool. Instead of asterisks, you will be able to see the obfuscated characters.
But even here we repeat the warning: Use this tool only for your own passwords or else it is a criminal offense. Incidentally, the program AsterWin IE displays passwords that you’ve entered in the Internet Explorer.

The ministry of communication signed the memorandum of
understanding with IBM corporation on Wednesday the decision which will make
them to work together to help the government to achieve its plan of making the
performance of the Port of Dar es Salaam more efficiency. The government wants
Dar es Salaam port to be a cornerstone of regional commercial infrastructure and
source of revenue. “For years the government has been investing in improving
the infrastructure at the port of Dar es Salaam with little investment in the
Information and Communication technology, with this MoU we expect more
technological development at Dar Port,” said the Minister for communication,
science and technology Prof. Makame Mbarawa. Although the minister did not actually speak
in which manner the technology will be helping to enhance the port activities
and the implementation of the project is not yet clear but it is a good sign.
Currently the Dar es Salaam port uses Cargo system management software to
manage shipping and marine operations. This move will enhance Tanzania’s effort to
compete in the technology industry in East Africa.
